The Asian Apprenticeship Awards returns for 2018
The Asian Apprenticeship Awards are back for the third year to celebrate the talent and diversity of British Asian Apprentices, their Employers and Learning Providers.
And we begin with an incredible announcement.
We are delighted to share that The Royal Air Force (RAF) will be headlining the Awards for 2018.
The RAF is a leading trainer of apprentices and has a 99 per cent pass rate compared with the national average of 65 per cent. This month, the RAF celebrate their Centenary anniversary.
There are 33,000 men and women serving in the RAF of which some 2,500 will be undergoing apprenticeship training in more than 20 different disciplines.
But the services faces a challenge in that three per cent of its servicemen and women are from Minority Ethnic backgrounds and it is keen to increase this to 10 per cent by the year 2020
Alongside the support of the RAF, we are delighted to have retained the support of sponsors Birmingham Metropolitan College, awarding bodies NOCN and ICQ, Severn Trent plc and The Association of Employment and Learning Providers.
We have also retained the support of the Confederation of Business Industry (CBI), WorldSkills UK, Learning and Work Institute, FE News and Asian Today.
